J.VARDYTOOLSColour & finishing for DaVinci Resolve

Colour & finishing tools for DaVinci Resolve

Professional colour tools,
built at the desk they came from.

LUTs, PowerGrades, DCTLs and Resolve templates from the colour desk at J.Vardy Films — made for the shot in front of you, not for a demo reel.

Ultimate DCTL is in development. Nothing is on sale yet.

Why these tools

A finishing desk, not a marketplace

One place for everything that comes off this desk — so a tool bought today still has a home, a version history and a support page in three years.

  • Built on paid workEach tool starts as something needed on a real job, then gets generalised — never the other way round.
  • Grades, not filtersEditable, separable decisions you can dial back and build on, rather than a stamp over someone else’s image.
  • Verified before soldCompatibility, contents and file integrity are tested before they are claimed. Nothing ships on intent.

The platform

Built to carry the whole range

Adding a category never means rebuilding the store. Each appears below when there is something real in it — an empty category is not a product.

The proof

Before and after

Placeholder — not J.Vardy footage. Real before/after frames are published when the product is finished.Drag the handle, or focus it and use the arrow keys.

The product demonstration will be published here only when controlled comparison footage is ready and the result can be judged directly.

The panel remains a placeholder rather than using unrelated footage to imply a result that has not yet been verified.

In practice

Where these sit, and what comes with them

  1. 01

    Balance first

Exposure and white balance before anything else. A look over an unbalanced image only moves the problem.

  2. 02

    Place the look

On its own node, so it stays separable from the rest of your grade.

  3. 03

    Calibrate per shot

Different skin, different light, different amount. This is the step that separates grading from filtering.

  4. 04

    Finish over the top

Windows, tracking and shot-specific work sit after the look, never buried inside it.

Reviews

What customers say

No reviews yet.

Nothing has been released yet, so there are no purchases and no reviews. When reviews do appear here, they will only come from verified purchasers, and they will be published as written — including the critical ones.

No rating average is shown until there are enough real reviews for one to mean anything.

Nothing to buy yet — and that is deliberate.

Ultimate DCTL goes on sale only when it is finished, tested and documented. EMBER remains in the catalogue as a separate planned product.
